Whoops: Will Levis Said During Kentucky's Pro Day He'd Only Attend The NFL Draft If He Was Sure He'd Be A Top Pick And Not Shown Sliding In The Green Room

Oh no, Will Levis. You just hate to see that. I'm torn up for this guy.

In all seriousness, it does suck that people were clearly blowing smoke up Levis's ass and telling him he was going to be a top five pick when it turns out all the NFL decision makers had, in fact, watched film of him playing college football. If Levis was touted as a Day 2 guy from the beginning of last season through the draft process and now he's a big quarterback with a great arm available in the second or third round, he doesn't get any of this flack and everything is fine.

But he was supposedly a top five pick and I had to listen to people who had never watched a Kentucky football game in their lives tell me how incredible this guy is, so yeah, those of us who had watched Levis fail to throw for 250 yards in 15 of his 16 SEC games are entitled to a small victory lap here. I feel bad that Levis became a victim of people lying to him and then had the same networks that had been wrongly hyping him up filming him on one of the worst nights of his life, but he had to know deep down he didn't belong anywhere near the top of the NFL Draft.

If there's any silver lining for Will, the green room shots were great press for his girlfriend. She probably made up all the money he lost last night.
